Case 109 is a 70 year-old male Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.
He reported onset of symptoms on 25 February and had sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on 27 February and 28 February. He presented at SGH on 29 February and was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 2 March afternoon.
He passed away on Sunday, March 29 at 12.12pm. The patient developed serious complications and eventually died due to the infection after 27 days in the ICU. He had a history of hypertension and hyperlipidaemia, said MOH.
